Welcome: (Linda M.) “Thanks for being here.  We have the opportunity to give the best of our collective talents for the good of our community.”

Bring to Order: (Co-Leader-Teresa H (sub))  “Let’s please bring this meeting to order.”

Reading: Oregon State Grange Bulletin: Article- Granges with Net Gain in Membership for 2013-2014 Honored.  The Mohawk Valley Community #922 is mentioned.

Read and vote on approval of minutes from last meeting – Julia

Minutes from July 19, August 18th, September 20th of 2015.

Bob R. made motion, Gail W. second to approve these minutes. Approved as read

Treasurer’s Report – Teresa-$1636.83-Pd. Scholarship to Gia Charley – $1000.

Old /Unfinished Business:

  • Caretaker business – Thorp-Delana Hanson picked up stuffed animals, backpacks, and blankets donated by Tori White and cleaned by Kelly and Thorp McC.
  • Sound System-Thorp will buy from pawn shop “mixer” for sound system for $40.  Was voted on and passed
  • Back porch is cleaned.
  • Firewood? Do we need more?
  • Harvest Festival – Last minute planning

Who’s doing what? Linda/Teresa – Kitchen

  • Food Contest -Chili, cornbread, and desserts
  • Music – Julia- “Loose Change Band”, Tony Farque and Friends.
  • Dishwasher – Brook

•   Raffle – Carrie J.

•  Kids Activities – Roxanne

•  Pumpkin carving – Bob R., Kevin H., Linda (yoga), and Laurie S. will talk to Leo’s.

•  Parking – Dan M., neighbors will allow parking on property- Keith, Tori W.

Reindeer will be present – Cindy Murdoch

Fresh Veggies-donated by Youth Farm, Kevin H.

• Road Cleanup Date? Nov. 7th from 10am to noon.

Meet at Grange.  Linda M. will pick up equipment needed on Nov. 5th

 

Committee Reports: 

  • Grange Refresh & Facilities Committee
    • Letters sent – 2 letters came back
      • Eugene Register Guard Response- No donation but might want to do an article about our Grange.

New Business: 

  • Thank you to Tori W.
  • Kelly McC. sends thank you notes to renters of Grange Hall.
  • We thanked Lon O. for his communications sent out to Marcola.  This is a great service.
  • Lon wanted to let us know you can add or remove names from list.  He tries to stay non-political and keep to the information only.  He will update the terms of renting the Grange to $125 for event.
  • Our membership dues are $55 per year
  • Update on New Elementary School at H.S. -Laurie S.

She wants to be present at the Harvest Festival, Oct. 24th and give out information and get feedback. Yes!

  • Bob R. mentioned Lane Arts Council will have a Fundraiser and Outreach- Tues., Oct. 27th.
  • Pumpkins leftover from Harvest Festival will go to the Elementary School for their celebration Oct. 29th. Melissa Monegan is our contact.
