MEETING MINUTES
MOHAWK VALLEY COMMUNITY GRANGE AUGUST 16, 2023, at 6:00PM

• Read and vote on approval of minutes from last meeting.

• Treasurer’s Report – Teresa ▪ $1965.57

▪ This month we have a $1000 scholarship payment and insurance $649 payment due.

• Caretaker/Rental Manager Report – Thorp
• Rentals – Tipi Village Yoga because it’s too smoky to be outside.

Another rental possible in September.
▪ Concernsorcomments–ThorphasconcernsabouttheSCAusingthe

grange again. The group gave him permission to raise the deposit, require the alcohol rider, etc

• Unfinished Business
o Harvest Festival: Music ideas? Chili judging changes, all chili dishes

here by 4:30 for judging because we will use judges. Flyers? Donna will invite Brian Silva to speak about Irish Farm’s vision…5 minutes right before dinner.

o Veterans Clothing Drive extended to August 31st; Delivery on Sept. 9th – Donna, Jean, and Teresa will talk to Jo at Helping Hands about leftover clothing from their garage sale.

o The fee for classes was discussed and changed to 10% of participants’ charge to the Grange. Voted and passed.

• New Business
  • Irish Farm – donating/volunteering – Julia said to talk to Brian if you

    want to help out.

  • Road Cleanup date was set at October 21st.
  • Bingo in November 4th 4-6PM
  • Fundraiser for Irish Farm? Dance? Band? DJ? Teresa will check with

    Brian.
